1. Booking & Requirements

What documents do I need to rent a vehicle? To rent a car, motorcycle, or bike, you need a valid passport or ID card and a valid driving license. For non-EU citizens, an international driving permit may be required depending on your country of origin.

What is the minimum age for renting?

  • Cars: 18 years old (with at least 1 years of driving experience).
  • Motorcycles (125cc):  18 years old (with a car license held for at least 1 years) or 18 years old with a specific motorcycle license.
  • Bicycles: No age limit, but minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I book through my hotel? Yes! We are trusted partners with many hotels from Santa Ponça to Can Pastilla. Simply ask at the reception, and they will arrange the booking for you.

2. Delivery & Returns

How does the "1-hour delivery" work? For spontaneous bookings made between 09:00 and 16:00, we guarantee delivery to your hotel or apartment within a maximum of one hour. If you book in advance, we will arrive exactly at your requested time.

Where do you deliver? We offer free delivery and pick-up in the entire southern coastal area, including:

  • Santa Ponça, Peguera & Magaluf
  • Palmanova, Portals Nous & Illetas
  • Palma City Center & Cala Major
  • Portixol, Molinar & Can Pastilla

Can I return the vehicle at a different location? Yes, we offer flexible drop-off options. You can return the vehicle to your hotel or our office. Please coordinate the details with our agent during the handover.

3. Payments & Insurance

Are there any hidden fees? No. At Aguilar Rentals, we believe in transparency. The price you see is the price you pay. There are no hidden "airport taxes" or "surprise insurance" costs.

Do I need a credit card for the deposit? We generally require a credit card for the security deposit. However, please contact us directly if you wish to discuss alternative options – being a local business, we always try to find a solution.

What is the fuel policy? We follow a "Full-to-Full" or "Same-to-Same" policy. You receive the vehicle with a certain amount of fuel and simply return it with the same amount. No extra service charges!

4. Driving in Mallorca

What happens if I have a breakdown or an accident? We offer 24/7 roadside assistance. You will find our emergency contact number on your rental agreement. We are never more than a phone call away.

Is it easy to park in Palma? Parking in the center can be tricky. We recommend using public parking garages or looking for white lines (free parking). Avoid yellow lines (no parking) and be aware that blue lines require a paid ticket.

5. Insurance & Liability

What is my liability in case of an accident? We want you to enjoy your holiday without worries. In the event of a major accident, your maximum liability (excess) is capped at only 300 €. Unlike many other agencies, we don't believe in "nickel and diming" our customers.

What about small scratches or wear and tear? Small scratches and normal signs of use are fully included. We know that driving and parking in Mallorca can be tight, so we don't charge for minor surface marks. You can return your vehicle with peace of mind.

6. Returns & Extras

Flexible Drop-off Options You can return your car where it’s most convenient for you. Return it to your hotel, our office.

Can I return the vehicle at the airport? Yes, for your convenience, we offer an airport drop-off option. Please note that there is a 25 € service surcharge for returning the vehicle at Palma Airport (PMI).

7. Do you offer additional equipment? 

Absolutely! To make your trip even more comfortable, you can add the following extras to your booking:

  • Child Seats: Travel safely with your family.
  • Navigation Systems (GPS): Never lose your way on the island's winding roads.
  • Bike Baskets: Perfect for your shopping trips or beach gear in Palma.
